GUIDE TO LISTING YOURSELF IN THE MEMBER DIRECTORY

The response to member "Sign up" has been amazing so far, with eight requests in just three days. But surprisingly, only a few members so far have attempted to enter a profile in the Member Directory. With this in mind, I have written a guide to help walk you through the process.

In a previous email sent to you from drshacket@gmail.com, with the subject of "Welcome", you were sent a 1) password, along with the verification of your 2) email address. You will need these two pieces of information to login at http://www.aocpr.org/MemberLogin.html. If you didn't get this previous email, please contact me immediately.

CREATE A MEMBER PROFILE

Once you have logged in, you will have an option to change your password to something that you can better remember. Also, from the Member Login you can and "Add/Update an entry to the Directory." This will allow you to create a profile, upload your photo, talk about your credentials & education, and enter contact information for all to see.

LIMITS ON YOUR PICTURE

The picture you upload to the AOCPR Directory has to be 1MB or less in size. If you have trouble uploading your picture because it is too large a file, I can reduce it for you if you email it to me.

LIMITS ON YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

At the "Add Directory Entry" page (http://www.aocpr.org/AddDirectoryEntry.asp)There are five information boxes to enter your personal information into the Member Directory. Each information-box cannot be more than 195 characters and spaces; any more than 195 characters and spaces will not appear in your member profile.

IMPORTANT - SAVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

It is a good idea to save your profile in a Microsoft Word document on your computer, because the AOCPR website program will sometimes not allow you to make changes in a piecemeal fashion. Each time you make a simple change to your profile, you may also have to upload your picture, and enter all of your profile information all over again. (You can avoid this problem, by always using the “Member Login page to "Add/Update an entry to the Directory.)
